We have a flurry of announcements about our upcoming conventions! Here’s the quick breakdown:
- Announcing SkalCon 2022 and SkalCon Online 2022

SkalCon 2022 and SkalCon Online 2022
We’re organizing two separate events this year – the usual SkalCon 2022 event in-person, and a separate online convention, SkalCon Online (SkalConline? We’re workshopping it). This event will take place November 11-13.
These events have separate registration, but will have the same goal of raising money for charities.
Why separate events?
We tried running both in-person and online on the same date last year, and we believe the online event suffered due to most of our logistical staff being onsite. By breaking this into two separate events, we can ensure each event runs as smoothly as possible.
To summarize:
SkalCon 2022
- September 30th – October 2nd 2022
- Location: Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West.
- Registration: $25 pre-registration, $30 at-con registration
SkalCon Online 2022
- November 11th-13th 2022
- Location: Online in our discord/various virtual tabletop
- Registration: Suggested $10 registration
Hotel Block Available

Survey for Pathfinder First Edition
Last year, we determined that we need input from players and GMs for what Pathfinder First Edition games we should offer at conventions. If you plan on playing Pathfinder Society First Edition games, please fill out this survey to list some of the top games you’d like to see. We’d also like to see if there is interest in ‘wildcard’ games decided day of.
We’ll be using this type of survey for SkalCon and other major conventions in our area, so keep your ‘must play’ lists up-to-date!
Call For Volunteers
We have a small group that plans out SkalCon, and would love more in our community to help shape these events. If you have interest in convention planning, feel free to attend one of our online planning committee meetings, currently scheduled every other Monday. Our next meeting will be June 6th. Reach out on the 10,000 Lakes Gaming discord or email if you would like to attend!
